It’s time once again to announce the new annual BOM program that I’ve designed for Sew Sweet Quilt Shop.

Only this year, I have no quilts to show you!

This year’s quilt is a MYSTERY! That’s right — we’re changing things up, and this year’s quilt is a Mystery quilt in 12 installments.

The quilt is called Country Backroads, and what I CAN show you is the colors we’re using. Red, white, and blue — a patriotic theme:

I can also tell you that the quilt finishes at 76″ x 76″, and if you need it larger, you can easily add a border or two to bring up the size.

It would make a great Quilt of Valor or Quilt of Recognition for a veteran. And really — who doesn’t love a good red/white/blue combo in a quilt? There’s no appliqué, and the piecing is all super simple, so this quilt would be great even for a raw beginner.

The only way to participate in this Mystery BOM is to sign up through Sew Sweet Quilt Shop and purchase your kits each month. To do that, you can call them at 660.548.3056 and they can give you all the details. They have the details posted on their FaceBook page as well, if you want to study those before you call.

You can pick up your kits in store, or have them mailed to you, and there’s even a 3-month-at-a-time option to save on shipping!

Each month, you’ll get some of the fabrics, and one step’s instructions. (With the 3-month option, you get 3 months fabrics, and the instructions get emailed to you on the 15th of each month for the subsequent installments.) You’ll even receive the binding fabric in the final month, so you’ll be all set to get quilting once your top is finished!

If you simply can’t abide not knowing what the quilt will look like ahead of time, the quilt will be released in pattern form at the end of the mystery program, but that means you’ll have to wait a full year to get it!
