Brunswick Forest, Block Twelve

This is it! The end of the trail through the forest — the last block for the Brunswick Forest BOM.

I sure hope you’ve enjoyed making all the trees in this Quilt. I definitely have my favorites, and I’m still making more!

This final block is one of my favorites in the entire quilt. It’s called Mighty Oak. There are a lot of triangles, but they’re worth it! It makes a lovely block. It would make a really lovely quilt using only this block repeated. I might have to try that before my “tree phase” ends!

Here’s the fall version of my sample quilt:

Here’s the non-traditional version:

And here’s my scrappy version. My final color choice was brown.

I’ll have you know that making this entire quilt from my scraps didn’t make a dent in the scrap pile!

I hope you’ve been working on your setting all along so that once you’re finished with this final block, you can get your top finished up pretty quickly.

And that wraps up this year’s BOM. Just in time, because in September, we start a new program at Sew Sweet Quilt Shop — it’s a Mystery Quilt, so stay tuned for more on that!
