Mad Dash Sew-Along, Week 15

How’s it going? We should be 1/3 through the section assembly by now. Personally, I am not quite there yet, but I made some good Progress this past week.

I’d like to get some more cutting done this week. I’ve been using my small blocks as leader/ender pieces for other things that I have to get done, and it’s moving them right along! So having them cut ahead of time makes it a lot easier to grab those blocks to use as leader/enders.

Shirley has been keeping me posted on her progress. I showed you her first block HERE, and then she showed me how she was beginning to lay out some of her blocks:

Wasn’t long before she had her first two sections done. Such a great color scheme!

Tanya has SIX sections done, and I just love how rich hers is looking:

And Becky has a finished top! She said she had to get it done because she had some other things come along that she needs to work on. I think it turned out great! Her selection of grays is fabulous — so much interest in the darker parts, and the background is just begging you to take a closer look.

Thankfully, everyone who’s gone on ahead says the pattern is working fine, so that gives me a great big feeling of relief! It’s good to know that I managed to make it clear enough to understand.

I hope you’re continuing to sew along and getting further toward the finish line of your Mad Dash. Once your stockpile of blocks is made, the rest seems to go really quickly, so keep that in mind, and keep sewing!
