Mad Dash Sew-Along, Week 9

I skipped a Monday check-in on purpose this week, because it was a holiday, and I made full use of it!

And I have no other excuse for why I’m just now posting this on late Wednesday.

I don’t have my Section One pieced yet. And it’s almost time for Section Two. Good thing this is a sew-at-your-own-pace quilt-along. My pace is super slow right now.

I have enough blocks done for Section One, but I decided I wanted a better variety of my fabrics scattered through the section, so I decided to increase my stockpile before putting it together. That will also aid me with Section Two, so I continue to make blocks — really slowly. I worked on some green ones last week — I’ve switched to pink for this week.

So instead of showing you my Section One, I’m gonna show you a couple others from participants — and they ARE lovely!

Here is Tanya’s:

And here is Becky’s:

They both said the instructions were easy, so I was relieved to hear that. I hope that continues on through the other eight sections!

And Shirley finally picked a color scheme and is started. Here is her first block — she’s pairing this with yellow — it’s gonna be spectacular!

So . . . I hope you’re moving along with your Mad Dash, and I’ll be back Monday with some tips for Section Two. Head’s up — it’s easier than Section One!
