Time to announce the winners! Altho . . . I say we are ALL winners just for doing the tasks, because we now have a fresh start on the new year, and it always feels so good!
Personally, I’m not a huge winner, because I failed at some of the tasks. I DID work on paper clutter, but as usual, still have a long way to go.
I did not get my ironing board cover Changed, because I discovered that with my still-not-recovered broken elbow, I can’t run the staple gun! So . . . I’m hoping to swindle My Cowboy into helping me with it over the weekend.
I also have not yet mopped my longarm room floor, but does thinking about it count? Also something I hope to get done over the weekend.
I DID start cleaning off the shelves above my mailing counter, but I’m not finished yet. I got rid of some items, and am rearranging what’s left to be more convenient to use. I will love it when I’m done.
Reorganizing my bookcase also turned into a bigger undertaking than I intended, so that’s an ongoing project, too. I’ll show you why when I get it finished. Everything I do these days is much slower, due to having to do it with either one arm or my non-dominant arm (not to mention frustrating, too).
Still, progress was made, and I’m happy with that, and I’ll keep working on it. I got all my calendars changed out, my planner notebook cleaned out and reset for this year, my longarm schedule updated and ready to go, and I emptied the scrap basket on my cutting table — twice! So I have no shortage of things to keep working on throughout the year. I also grocery shopped, took the cat to the vet, and quilted a customer quilt and three charity quilts this week, so that might be why I didn’t have time to complete many of the other tasks!
I’ll post some before and afters hopefully next week, so you can see what I managed to get done.
I absolutely LOVED hearing about all the tasks you decided on for yourself, and how you were handling all the tasks that I handed out. I felt good for you all, just hearing about what you got done, because I know what a good feeling it is to have done tasks that we keep putting off, or finish something we’ve procrastinated on. So I hope it helped you out with a fresh start. I know it gave me some ideas for other things I need to do!
And now . . . about those Prize winners . . .
The prize for Task One goes to: Jocelyn
The prize for Task Two goes to: Barbara W.
The prize for Task Three goes to: Beverly V.
Thanks to each and every one of you for playing along, commenting, reading, and DOING the tasks! We’ll do it again at the end of this year!
And . . . I’m continuing the regularly scheduled Studio Organizing Challenges, so be sure and check in next week for our first one of those!
