Back in February, I told you about my guild’s current mystery project we had going on, The Happenstance Quilts.

I also showed you two options I had for doing Mine. Well, I chose the Christmas option, and used this for my center block:

I’ve never made an actual red and green Christmas Quilt, so I decided to turn mine into a Christmas quilt. And can you believe, I’m not done with mine yet? Shocking, I know!

But I am getting closer. I just have some appliqué to finish up, and then I can finish the top. Then, when I’ll find time to quilt it will be anyone’s guess, but wouldn’t it be nice to have it in time for this Christmas?

Anyway, we had our big reveal back in May, and I’ve been meaning to show you all the quilts that came out of this challenge. They’re all so different and wonderful! So here they are, in no particular order . . .

This one was made by Sheryl. She started with a panel for her center. It’s perfect for one of her guys!

Barbara is always an overachiever with her large beautiful creations. She used Victoria Findlay Wolfe’s Cottage Tulip block as her starting point — gorgeous!

Janet also started with a panel, of sorts, but look at all the gorgeous color she pulled out of it! I love it.

Norma used a cool Color Palette for hers — she lives on a lake, and this is perfect for her!

Then we have Jackie, with her fabulous dragonflies! She won first place in the Viewer’s Choice voting for hers.

Sandra went with a red, white, and blue theme. I think she may be using this for a Veteran’s quilt. Great idea!

My sister finished hers, but didn’t get to come to the reveal. She went with the theme of her favorite holiday — Love this Halloween version!

And Bev also finished hers, but didn’t make the meeting, so I stole her photo from Facebook to show you here — I love this color palette, AND her design!

Can you believe how different and lovely all of these are? We all had the same set of instructions, but ended up with drastically different quilts! So amazing! It was a good challenge.

And someday, I’ll have mine finished to show you, but for now, our guild is on to our next mystery project. This year, we’re doing the Brown Bag Special, and it’s fun so far!
