My 2019 Project List

I have so many lists, I have lists of lists! I love lists! But I like to keep some of them front and center, so I can remember to work on them.

Last year, I made this list as part of the 2017 Final Countdown:

Well, I didn’t do so great on it. There were a couple things I didn’t even touch! Here’s some of what I did get done off the list, tho . . .

I made 13 pillowcases. Eleven of them were donated to our guild’s community service efforts.

I finished both of my guild Challenge projects. Here’s my mystery Quilt, which I also donated to our guild’s community service projects:

And here’s my Log Cabin challenge quilt (you can see more pictures of it HERE):

I donated another quilt to our Comfort Quilt stash at guild, but I can’t remember which one it was. I need to do more, so it’s back on my list for next year.

My embroidery project is ongoing, but I’m also planning another one, or three:

I’m always working on organizing my stash, and I finally have all my unquilted quilt tops in one big pile. Now if I could just get them all quilted, so that it’s a much smaller pile!

I worked hard on my Yo-Yo quilt, but I wasn’t as near done as I at first imagined, so it’s gonna take longer than I thought!

And I only managed one block of the patchwork city quilt:

And you can see the Sew Sweet Block-of-the-Month quilts HERE, in case you missed them earlier.

So . . . I’ve made a new list for 2019 and posted it over my desk, where I can see it every time I sit down there. I carried some of the unfinished projects over, and added in a few new ones:

Some of these I hope to get off my list once and for all. Others will be a lot of work, but I plan to chip away at them, and make as much progress as I can. Some are on the list because they will get done, no matter what — like the new BOM quilts for Sew Sweet (so stay tuned in August for the next big reveal).

My two guild challenges will be a lot of work, but since there’s a deadline, I hope to be able to meet it. I need to get crackin’!

Twenty-five scrap quilts will be a challenge, but I plan to pick them from my to-be-quilted pile, so the tops are already done, and that will speed things up. Twenty-five pillowcases should be easy, because I have nearly that many cut out that I didn’t get sewn up last year, so the sewing is all that’s left. Surely I can squeeze those in! We shall see.

To be completely truthful, I’ve sort of set a goal for myself of finishing one thing a week, but so far, it’s proving difficult, and I’m not doing so well right out the gate!

So that’s my list for 2019! I know some of you made lists during the Final Countdown, so I wish us all luck getting the items checked off, one by one, as the year goes by. I hope the 350 Blocks Project will help a lot of us move our projects forward. It’s not too late to sign up and join in on that!

Last year, I made my list form available as a free download, so I did that again this year, if you want the printable, click HERE to get it free.

Happy Stitching!
