Dear Friend,

Welcome to Retro-Sparks! My name is Selena and I am very excited to share with you my enthusiasm for the art of letter writing. After a year of research, preparation and consulting with a few great bloggers, I have decided to start my own blog. The reason is simple, considering that writing is my passion, the holy area of mine, where I do not subordinate imposed values, nor imposed rules. On the other hand, writing a letter is much more intimate and demanding, and for us – word lovers – quite a challenge. Although I have been writing letters for more than 13 years.

Almost every day we can encounter some quite intriguing revelations on letter writing passion – The Skills of Leonardo Da Vinci, For the sake of humanity, We have a message from another world, Happy Birthday Princess, Love Letter, and the like. And indeed, if you take a little bit deeper look at those letters, what you can conclude is that all of them are as Emily Dickenson used to say “like immortality because it is the mind alone without a corporeal friend”.

Retro-Sparks is my first Blog where I will write in the form of a letter about something that is common to all of us. In my posts, you will be seeing more of everyday expectations and disappointments, memes and thoughts, dreams and awarenesses. I will write about experiences and challenges, emotions and passions, love and spirituality, creativity and education, reading and books, art and culture. In essence, I will write about what we love and what we have, what we have lost and what we seek. I will write about life.

Correspondence, letter writing, snail mail and stationery lovers can also expect to see creative D.I.Y. ideas and projects presented in the form of a photo guide in the Creative Factory page. Moreover, the Traveler’s Cards will be a modest collection of my adventures and travel stories. Everything will be however in the spirit of art and practice of correspondence.
