DIY Peace Sign Ornaments

I’ve been listening to Happy Xmas (War Is Over) by John Lennon for the past couple months, since it’s one of my favorite Christmas songs. The song inspired me to make these DIY Peace Sign Ornaments because I feel like we could all use a little peace in our lives right now. These ornaments are simple, classy and perfect for any Christmas tree, no matter the style. What you need: Thick glitter ribbon, hot glue gun, Christmas wire, ribbon, scissors, I found this ribbon a couple years ago at a craft store. It’s super thick and perfect for these ornaments. You want something nice and thick so the ornament holds its shape. You can use wired tinsel ribbon if you can’t find something similar to what I’m using. Decide how big you want your peace sign and cut the ribbon to size. Glue the ends together to create a circle. I used the Gorilla Hot Glue Sticks because of how strong and durable they are. Cut a piece of ribbon to fit across the front of the peace sign and glue in place. Cut two more pieces of ribbon (at an angle) and glue to the ornament. Be sure to trim any extra ribbon and you have a sweet little peace sign. Next, I cut my Christmas wire into equal size pieces and twisted the ends together to create a long hoop. I also made some simple black bows to add to the ornaments. Glue the wire hoop and the bow to the top of the ornament. Press together firmly, but be careful so you don’t burn yourself. I thought the hoops for hanging were a little long, so I folded them down to create a smaller hoop and I like them much better.
