Funny Felt Face Masks

Life has definitely changed for us and Face Masks are now a part of daily lives. I made these Funny Felt Face Masks for Talyn and he loves them. I made them as a surprise and he could not stop laughing while wearing them. He wore one to the store yesterday and was complimented as soon as we walked in. These could easily fit over a disposable  or cloth Mask and are just fun for kids to wear. What you need: thick felt, scissors, elastic, needle and embroidery floss, hot glue gun, printer I have made two printable pattern pages for you to download. Print the page and cut out the pieces to trace onto your felt. face mask pattern 1 face mask pattern 2 Start by stitching the two mask pieces together. Open the mask and stitch the nose onto the mask. Originally, I was going to stitch the beard onto the mask first and stitch the nose over it, but changed it up a bit. Since I added the nose first, and beard second, I had to trim some of the beard off. You can decide what you prefer. When the beard and nose are stitched onto your mask, add the mouth. I decided to skip the mouth and added some “decorative” stitching to the beard with black embroidery floss. The great thing about these masks is you could easily customize them any way you want. Add elastic with a hot glue gun. I glued a small strip of felt over the elastic. I ended up giving this mask a little “Mom” and heart tattoo. This mask was so easy to make and I love how it turned out. The other mask is made the same way, but the strips of felt are cut into fringe and stitched on. There are so many things you can do to customize your mask like adding a tattoo, freckles, a mole, teeth, etc.
