DIY Stars & Stripes Candlesticks

I’m loving my new DIY Stars & Stripes Candlesticks. I’ve had these candlesticks for a couple years and decided to turn them into something fun. You can find the plain wood candlesticks at Hobby Lobby or pull out something you already have at home. I spray painted these white a while ago, so it was super easy to add the stars & stripes. What you need: wood candlesticks, star stickers, red.white & blue paint, paint brushes, tape Paint your candlesticks white and let dry. Add star stickers to one of the candlesticks and paint the candlestick red. I used red & blue color changing paint and love how it looks. You can use tape to get straight lines on your second candlestick or paint it freehand like I did. Peel off the stickers and tape (if you used it) before the candlesticks are completely dry. This helps to not pull off any of the paint. You can also add a clear sealer to your candlesticks to protect the paint. Mod Podge would work great. I love these DIY Stars & Stripes Candlesticks and can add them to my collection of 4th of July home decor. I have more fun & easy 4th of July crafts/project for you to work on this weekend like my patchwork American flag, felt fireworks or 4th of July garland.
