I had a little help with these DY Embroidered Hand Towels from the kids. I asked them to write Grandma’s names on the towels and/or draw a small picture for me to embroider. We made one Towel for each Grandmother and they turned out super cute. These are a great gift because the entire family can help and they will be treasured for a long time. What you need: hand towels, embroidery floss, embroidery needle, pen, embroidery hoop, fabric, sewing machine You can find these hand towels in the embroidery section at Walmart or craft stores. Write or draw on the hand towel. Place your towel into an embroidery hoop and embroider over the designs. When you are done with the embroidery, it’s time to add the backing. Place a piece of fabric and the hand towel together, right side in. Sew almost all the way around, flip right side out and finish sewing. This hides the back of your embroidery work. These DIY embroidered hand towels are easy to make and I really do believe that custom, handmade gifts are the best! While you have your embroidery stuff out, you might also want to make these adorable DIY felt nesting doll gift toppers!
