I made another JUNK JEWELRY mixed media assemblage!

I buy jars of Junk Jewelry at Goodwill and have fun making unusual OOAK art assemblages.  I had fun experimenting with the background for this collage.  I cut out pretty pieces of paper and actually transferred the images to the canvas with dishwasher safe Mod Podge.

I put the images face down on the Mod Podge and waited for them to dry over night.  The next day I used warm water to rub off the paper and the pretty paper images were magically attached to the canvas!

Then it was time to attach the eclectic mix of Junk Jewelry in the center of each square.

The cool thing about using such a variety of jewelry is you see something different each time you look at the piece!

The name of this piece is “Inspiration” and I used a magazine clipping glued in exactly the right spot :  )
