Children, especially toddlers, love to use stamps and it is fun to watch them Stamp randomly all over the page. I usually have an art lesson dedicated to stamping activity and provide supplies to use them in the way they want. We can easily make stamps using household items but there are also wonderful Stamp Sets for toddlers that are available online.
Stamps can be made of wood, foam or rubber. Some come with an easy-to-use handle. Stil, others come as rollers with grooves and shapes on them. Some are self-inking stamps while few have stamping ink pads along with the stamps.
How can you use these stamps?
They are a number of creative ways that these stamp sets can be used. Create a background scene, like green grass or water and then have them stamp on this background using acrylic paints. For older children, stamps can be used to create an abstract background. You can use stamp sets for card making. You can use coloured paper also and stamp them with acrylic paints.
Here are some of the best stamp sets for toddlers that are available online on Amazon.
Shumee has a series of stamp sets but the animal and forest stamp sets are one of the best. These sets help toddlers to imagine a jungle scene and create their animals. Once they have created the outline with these sets they can fill it with beautiful colours of their own.
Melissa & Doug has nice quality stamp sets on fun subjects like the Dinosaurs or the create the fairy garden. Most of these stamps come with handles or easy-to-grip shapes which make it easier for toddlers to use. The one stamp set that I really recommend for all users is the alphabet stamp set. These can be used together to stamp phrases on top of your paintings.
Then there are rollers with sponges of different shapes attached to it. Press them in any paint and roll it on the paper. The decorative colour markers can also be used as a roller. These markers have a colour marker on one side and roller marker on the other. Toddlers have fun using these markers.
There are many stamp sets that have come up which have Indian patterns and motifs on them. There are floral and leaf motifs and also beautiful geometrical and spiral patterns.
