Geocache: Somewhere at the end of all roads

To get to this Geocache I had to get off all the main roads. It was at the end of a small Village, somewhere you would have no reason to drive to otherwise.

Out if its hiding place
The was this geocache was hidden is really nice. There was this electric pole left behind after putting a new line in place and it was behind a small rusty door hanging into a pipe. The hint was simple look for the gray wire.

The road to nowhere???
As you can see this was a forgotten place, even the road leading to the village was already in such a bad condition that I felt sorry for my rental car, if it was my own car I would have driven super slow.

The full picture of the geocache out of its hiding place
When I arrived to the geocache, I passed by an elderly lady, I was not sure where she was heading, but parked quickly and found and signe before she caught up with me.

Only the wire is visible and it is the only gray wire there ...
As I started taking more pictures so I can show you around and show the building what served as the purpose of this geocache many many more muggles started passing by. I felt really strange, they all smiled and I greeted them all. I am sure they all know what I was doing there and they all knew I'm making all those photos just to hide my real reason.

The old and the new box next to each others...
As you can see it was kind of trivial where to start the search ans could be called a park and grab as well. Back to the muggles... at such a small village they usually have no more than one way of public transportation, seen the conditions of the roads I doubt that they have a bus coming by, but there was a train stop. They all had to pass me to get to the train station, so I was o lucky that I managed to go there at the one of those few time frames when there is a train coming. In that area I'm sure the train does not even come once every hours maybe three four times per day.

The rail lines...
When I visit such abandoned places like this small village, I always feel so bad, just think about what medical services could be available, how fast internet is possible in the village, etc.

The granary
This old granary was the reason the cache owner placed this geocache right here. It seems to be still in some use as it is not collapsing and seem to have fresh paint over it.

Another picture of the granary
I always think that when you make more and more pictures of an object while geocaching you are trying to be invisible to the muggles, but I have to say I started to feel they spot me even more when I do that, why would anyone come and take picture of this building, it is not as fancy as a castle would be that for sure you can find within a 30 minutes drive. If it had a big sing saying "FOR SALE" they could think I a there as I have interest, but they must know if it is on the market.

Some eagles...
Not the best piture, but if you look at full size you might spot more then one eagles on those trees. The traffic here is not too heavy, I could say less than light, so they are not disturbed much, i tried to get a closer picture, but when I started to walk closer they all flew away, not to mention the mud I had to walk ...

The road ... or what is it?
Finally here is another closer picture of the road so you can imagine what I was talking about. The good part of this geocache was that all the muggles I met were smiling to me, which is common in small villages all over in Hungary, they are friendly people. While I'm driving through small villages and I see the old people sitting in front of their houses I always wave to them, that makes their day a lot more interesting. I know how much my grandmother is waiting for anyone to stop by. She is so happy even when the postman say just hi and tells her sorry nothing for you today. When I'm on business trip around the planet besides geocaching I also make sure I send a postcard to her as well. Back to the old people in villages, I know they cannot see you too good, so that gives them a good topic, who did they see, they talk about it all over the village for at least a week, and if they figure out who I could be they are happy that I waved if they don't they had something to do for a week. I encourage everyone to wave to the elderly people while driving by and they are just sitting and waiting for someone ...

Many thanks for this hide, it was one of the best on that November morning.
