Geocache: Had to go back many times

My wife and myself are not giving it up easily. This Geocache was one of those had to go back and then again and once more, we had lots of headache thanks to this geocache. And yet is it any very special one? Oh yeah it is... read on.

The geocache

So let me start at the beginning, there are a few geocaches making a series of bridges in South Holland, the Netherlands. They are mostly placed on small or even tiny bridges, which we have so many in the area. The idea itself is already great and gives a reason to jump on your bicycle and go.

The bridge
If there is anyone on this planet who could rebuild this bridge blind that might be my wife and me. We checked each inch of it with all different tools, including eyes, cameras, endoscope, phones, hands, etc.

Under the bridge
I crawled under it into all places I could fit. I took pictures which we analyzed to make sure we did not miss any spots. Why? So we have a geocachers hiding in the area we live, who turned out to be living on the other side of the street, really close by. He has many traditional, many mystery and some multi as well. What is common in them is that they are well maintained, well designed, and often cruel. Just to mention one of them; I had to go under bridges getting wet, where the water was stinky, and dirty.

Another view under the bridge
At some points in searching we were thinking of we must be overcomplicating this hide, and it is more simple then we think. Maybe we just wanted it to be one of those hides where you need to turn this, move that and there you go. Or be hidden under and behind, or anything complicated. In some cases when you see the name of the geocacher which you remember for hiding well you just immediately assume it is another of those hard ones...

Muggle family
Then you sit down for a moment, not to mention a muggle family showed up and started watching us all under and over the bridge. And while sitting to look like you are just on you phone start looking up all the images ever made of the geocache. Looking looking, no spoilers at all, but at least we know for sure what the size and shape and color is. The muggle family is just floating around ... let's read more and more logs, not as if we did not do it the first few times before, but maybe we spot another clue we missed earlier.

It was better covered, I just put it like this for the photo
As I read the stories of others I had to realize I prefer people writing a different story for each find instead of putting the same on multiple they found on a day. As I have some geocaches hidden myself (at the time of writing this over 30), and I also see logs like on a full day geocaching we found xyz geocaches with a few others and it was great and many thanks... this is so disappointing, you put all the effort to hide a geocache and maintain it and then they post a copy and paste or just use some online tool to fill in the log for multiple geocaches at once... So I encourage everyone to write as much as you can and include the story, that helps others.

Back to this geocache, it was at a place I did not see while looking from under, we had to approach from the side and behind some nettle, and I do not believe we never checked there before, maybe it has a remote control and our good neighbor just used that switch to keep us entertained...

Many thanks for this hide, and we'll keep on going for the next and then the next and then the next till we finish all the bridges.
