On a long trip from the Netherlands to Hungary we took A3 in Germany. Thanks to the local geocachers there are more and more geocaches on the Autobahn. On each trip we try to pick one or two.

We stopped for getting a drink for my daughter and a coffee for myself. A quick check and this is my lucky day; there is a geocache at the end of the parking and as logs show it was found recently. A huge truck was shadowing the location so no muggle can see us. Not even the truck driver as his cabin was covered with curtains; must be asleep.
Not much search was needed there was a green line going under one of the caps on the Traffic sign. I quickly took it out and then signed and took the pictures.

Then we were on the autobahn again... so the story did not end there... as I was driving the navigation started to tell me there is a traffic jam on the road ahead, ok show me... at next exit leave the autobahn many kms ahead... radio did not mention anything so we just kept going, not as we had a choice in a few minutes we reached the end of the stuck traffic.

What to do? Hm seems we are stuck, it is not too often more then a few minutes standing in place, but let me check... 237m to closest geocache. Hm. Should I go or should I not.... my daughter has no drivers license so if traffic moves she cannot move the car. Ok let me stay.... one hour later... maybe we are stuck for another 30 minutes... nope cannot risk my daughter... over 3 hours not moving and technically parking next to a geocache... How annoying... would you have risked it? What if I mention it was on the other side of the autobahn? I already knew the traffic is stopped both ways. The a car came the opposite direction. The some sleep... what a day.
