Some places are just not for everyone. Lots of people have some phobias. You can be afraid of height, different places, different animals, etc. A really common one is the spiders, I'm not too worried about them; knowing many of them could kill me, you can have to be careful and respectful, but many would just run if they see a tiny Spider.
This cache was the same technic as I found before, nice piece of branch with a hole and a petling glued in there, and then it was turnable but not detachable from a tree or other branch.
The petling in the branch. |
See the hide on this picture? And the webs? |
In this case I'm not sure if the hide was placed there on purpose or just that animal moved in later, but for sure no human with arachnofobia would step into the bushes if this is what is waiting there.
A better view on the webs. |
I also have a hide somewhere where there are many bigger spiders and I put a nice almost 10cm big spider as samouflage on top of my petling. So far a few got frightened when they spotted, then they saw it is not moving and also does not seem to be a local spider so they were good to touch. I recommend to all beginners do not be too brave, how do you know it is not a real? I recently visited Taiwan and in church I spotter a huge spider, asked my local tour guide to see if she thinks it is real or not, she said it must be part of the decoration, I took a few pictures. we went downstairs and showed the picture to one of the maintenance guys there, when he so his face turned very worried and asked where did we see this? We told him, he ran away, so did we... must have been a real one and most probably a problem one as well.
Be careful out while playing geocaching.
