Geocache: Under a plank

Oh, this was fun ... when you start playing geocaching you try to go for the lower Difficulty and terrain, then based on your experience you increase what you give a try. This one was around 3. When we got to the coordinates we first looked around, then saw that on the other end of the Plank in front of us there is a tree. We assumed the container will be somewhere there for the higher difficulty level.

The petling hiding under the plank.
Of course I walked over the plank. Can you imagine how dizzy you can get if you walk on a narrow plank while the water below you is visibly floating? Most people would not even step on the plank to get to the other side, but I did, was fun once.

The other end of the plank.

After walking to the other side with my phone in my pocket my camera in my hand there was this small fence kind of construction. Why is that here? How do I get around? It is moving ... oh, nothing to hold on to to at least feel secure on this plank. So I lifted it a bit up and turned and then I could get on land. Might be private property, so let's search quikly.

The view from the other end of the plank.

Nothing anywhere, it is not that high difficulty or terrain to expect me to even climb the tree, so where is it. After looking multiple times then putting back the fence as it was, and walking back to where we came from to read some logs to search for hints I was once again securly on land.

The geocache taken out.

Re-thinking the difficulty I decided to lay on the plank to look under, and there I found the petling. Getting out, signing, putting back and making some more pictures before back on the bicycles to the next geocache.

Would you walk over this plank?

At first look if you see this plank you might say oh that's a piece of cake. That is what I thought to myself, but when I had both my feet on it and the water moved I changed my mind.

The plank with the tree on the other end of the plank.

For a dificulty three I guessed to find the geocache on the tree... I was wrong it was a lot easier.

What you see when you cycle by.

Good hides are not visible for muggles. This one was not visible from the road for sure, and had to do some extra workout to spot it. Great hide, many thanks for the CO.
