Sometimes you come across some nanos that just fun to find. This one was one of them. On a Gate
that actually did not close anything or did not seem to have any purpose.
Can you spot the nano? It is silver.
... hiding in that small hole. Clever hide, no muggle would spot it for sure.
As this was part of a series in a new recreational area with a bonus cache at the end it had a bonus code on the container. The only way a muggle would spot this geocache would be if he tried to open the gate, but as it is just standing there in the middle of nothing why would anyone do try to open?
The scenery from the cache
As you can see on the above picture the area is so new that the grass did not even start growing. It would be nice to come back in a few months to see how much nicer it is, but I guess if we'll have another afternoon for geocaching we'll just go to some other place.
See? in the middle of nothing, left behind?
Sometimes when you see something like this you might be curious why was it ever there? Who put it there? Did it have a purpose? As I understood from another geocacher we met on this trail earlier there were cows on this area, many of them. Maybe this gate kept them inside, maybe there was also a fence surrounding their territory.
Many thanks for the cache owner to hide the whole trail and give us the pleasure of this nice afternoon we spent on finding all the caches and the bonus as well.
