Quick and Easy Crochet Holiday Infinity Scarf Make Along with Underground Crafter


Handmade Holiday Season....!!! The term Holiday Season itself puts a smile on your face.... isn't it!!!... I Know it might seem a bit early to start the Holiday Preparations, but if you start now , you will have ample amount of time in your hand to finish off your Handmade Gifts.

Handmade gifts are always special. Today am sharing the pattern for Quick and Easy Crochet Holiday Infinity Scarf. Infinity scarves are the best to crochet. This pattern is easy and works up quick with basic crochet stitches. The textured look of the scarf is made with Front Post Double Crochets worked along with Double Crochets. I made this scarf for the Christmas in July Make Along with Underground Crafter.

Materials Used:-
Worsted Weight Christmas Yarn
5 mm Crochet Hook




Size:-
7 / 50 Inches - can be customized to any size

Note:-
  • For this whole Pattern, the Starting Chain 2 is not counted as a stitch. It is Just to bring the yarn to a working height. Start the next stitch in the same stitch.
  • Start the next stitch in the same stitch.

Abbreviations Used:-
Ch - Chain
DC - Double Crochet
SL - Slip Stitch
FPDC - Front Post Double Crochet
St/Sts - Stitch/Stitches

Let's Start:-

Round 1:-
Start with a Slip Knot.
Chain 160 or else , you can Chain the required number of Chains untill its around 50 inches in size.

Quick Tip to Stop the Chain from Twisting:-
  1. Chain the first 8 to 10 stitches.
  2. Remove the hook from your work and insert it into the first chain.
  3. Now , be careful and without twisting the chains, insert your hook into the working loop.
  4. This way the first chain on the hook will be just behind the current working loop.
  5. Once you are done with the required number of Chains, pull the yarn through the first loop.
  6. This will ensure smooth untwisted Chains.







Round 2:-

Chain 2.(not counted as a stitch)
1 Double Crochet in the same stitch.
1 Double Crochet each in the remaining stitches.
Once you reach the end, Slip stitch in to the 1st Double Crochet. 






Round 3:-

Chain 2.(not counted as a stitch)
1 Double Crochet in the same stitch.
1 Double Crochet each in the remaining stitches.
Once you reach the end, Slip stitch in to the 1st Double Crochet. 





Round 4:-

Chain 2.(not counted as a stitch)
1 Double Crochet in the same stitch.
1 Front Post Double Crochet in the next stitch.
Repeat(1DC,1FPDC)
Once you reach the end, Slip stitch in to the 1st stitch.

How to make a Front Post Double Crochet...??:-
  • Yarn Over and  insert your hook from front to back to front around the post of the stitch.
  • Finish the stitch as the normal Double Crochet , i.e .Yarn Over and pull up a loop, Yarn Over and pull through 2 loops on your hook, Yarn Over and  pull through remaining two loops on your hook.








Round 5:-

Chain 2.(not counted as a stitch)
1 Front Post Double Crochet in the same stitch.
1 Double Crochet in the next stitch.
Repeat(1FPDC,1DC)
Once you reach the end, Slip stitch in to the 1st stitch.
