A Finish Along Finish – Carter bags

I ended up switching out the whale fabric for a floral, and also making TWO Carter Bags! One for me, one for my Etsy shop. This pattern is by Swoon from the Carried Away Collective, and is the first bag I’ve made from those patterns, despite having them for months..

These are made with the same brown vinyl as originally planned, and it’s definitely one of my favourite shades.

They close with magnetic snaps underneath the tuck strap design.

I’m going to add rivets either side of the internal pocket for strength – I had to hand sew those areas because I don’t have a free arm on my Machine, and the foam made it so that I just could not get it to stand proud enough to machine sew., Those rivets would give me a little more confidence!

Cute pattern though right? Plus my machine only skipped a very occasional stitch with the thickness of the straps so that’s pretty good!

This is a Finish Along finish!
