A Finish: Back to Back

I made this mini quilt for the MQG Mini Swap this year. I was paired with Velda who likes bright jewel tone fabrics and low volume backgrounds. I can show it now because I know she has received it!

I wanted to try something like a New York Beauty since I’ve never made one before, and this is what I came up with using EQ8. I also tried out some iron-on foil stuff (though I may have had my iron a little too hot). I cut triangles out of Siser Easyweed by hand (though totally Scan N Cut friendly too) and fused them on like Wonder Under applique.

The Quilting was mostly echo quilting with my quarter inch foot, but I did add a couple of rows of pebbles too. I’d like to get neater at pebbles and could do with a clearer foot for my machine. I’ll have to see if such a thing exists.
