So I DO HAVE A FINISH ALONG FINISH! Aka. Trellis quilt.

I totally lied in my last post folks, not only did I Finish Scallops, but I finished Trellis too. Two finishes! I seem to have a think for one word named quilts. Anyway, I didn’t share Trellis because I didn’t think I had photos, and while they’re not NICE photos, I do have documentation. I used Popular Patchwork’s photo in the image above as it features in their April edition.

It’s based on log cabin blocks (I do a lot of curves and log cabins too) and some more turned edge circle appliques.

I quilted it with an all over random FMQ design of leaves and berries. I wish I could remember the blog that inspired it, because as usual, I don’t have a plan until I’m sat there with a basted quilt on a deadline!

STATS
Size – 63 1/2″ square
Number of blocks – 18 pieced ones
Time to make – About 15 hours, including 4 quilting hours
Fabric – Kona Aqua and Chartreuse, plus a wood grain from Cori Dantini’s Little Red line. And an assortment of FQs from my stash.
Binding Fabric – Kona Aqua
Backing Fabric
– It’s some kind of Makower Christmas print, but I loved it when I saw it a couple of years ago and it was on a very good sale price. It finally came in handy!
Threads – Pieced with off-white Wonderfil Konfetti, quilted with matching colour Isacord threads.
Batting – Hobbs 80/20
Quilting- FMQ of leaves and berries

Also my blog woes may finally be over! So expect to see more of me here now. And Hank. Here’s a picture of his cute squishy face.

This is a Finish Along finish!
