IM Dhulipalla triumphs at the 2022 International Open Championship of Central Serbia

The International Open Chess Championship of Central Serbia took place from 16-23 November in Pirot, Serbia. The event attracted 74 players from 15 countries, and was played in 9 rounds, swiss system, with time control of 90 minutes per player each 40 moves and 15 minutes until the end of the game, with an additional 30 seconds for each move, counting from the first one. The total prize fund of the event was 5.250 euros.

Indian International master Dhulipalla Bala Chandra Prasad scored 7 points to be the sole winner of the tournament. A group of six players tied for the second place scoring 6.5 points: GM Mikhail Bryakin, GM Misa Pap, GM Aleksander Delchev, Ajay Mushini, FM Bojan Todorovic and IM Tsvetan Stoyanov.

The best ranked female player was WFM Nurai Sovetbekova who scored 4.5 points and had better tiebreaks than WFM Petya Karaivanova and Anastasia Grozdanovic who had the same score. Scroll down for final rankings
