Cutting and Engraving Rubber and Rubber Cork

Have you ever tried cutting Rubber or rubber cork or are interested in cutting them?

Material: nitrile rubber (a synthetic rubber copolymer of acrylonitrile (ACN) and butadiene), rubber cork
Thickness: nitrile rubber 2mm, 3mm / rubber cork 3mm
Machine: FABOOL Laser CO2

Processing parameter

1.Rubber (1st round)

  • Speed: 800F
  • Power: 100%
  • Repeating: 2

Processing time: about 40 seconds


Rubber (2nd trial)

  • Speed: 500F
  • Power: 100%
  • Repeating: 2

Processing time: about 1:41 minutes

It is not completely cut through at 500F.


Rubber (3rd trial)

  • Speed: 500F
  • Power: 100%
  • Repeating: 10

Processgin time: about 2:56 minutes

We tried cutting 3mm rubber, but it could not cut it through.


2.Rubber cork

  • Speed: 1000F
  • Power: 100%
  • Repeating: 15

Processing time: about 1:41 minute

Since the material was made with artificial rubber and cork particles, it could not be cut through as was the 3mm thick rubber.
