Pedestrian, Bicyclist and Motorcyclist Rights

Pedestrians, bicyclists and motorcyclists should get together and push for their rights when it comes to these groups vs. traditional modes of transportation, specifically cars.

A lot of drivers disregard crosswalks and walk lights, and don't know how to interact well with pedestrians and cyclists. Many drivers won't even slow down when they make a right turn and a pedestrian is waiting to cross on a walk light.

Walk lights should be automatic. When a driver reaches a light, they don't have to get out of the car and push a button.

Some drivers don't seem to be looking out for these people at all. They're looking out for another car or a truck, something they don't want to hit.

When interacting with these other groups, drivers should treat them like they would another vehicle. If a driver reaches a stop sign before a cyclist, for example, the driver should proceed as they would if it was another car. Drivers will stop in the middle of the road when there is traffic coming the other way, and wave someone on. Someone on a bike can't always see the through the glare or tinted windows. And, they shouldn't have to look in the car.

If someone is driving a car, it shouldn't be an ego thing. There are probably a lot of people that don't take buses or ride bikes or motorcycles because of safety issues. The more people that choose the alternatives, the less traffic there is and the less gas costs.
