Art and Design by Malaysian Universities
Art & Design programme is the application of design and aesthetics to objects of function and everyday use. Students are introduced to key skills and techniques in design to provide a good understanding of the fundamental principles of design and their appliances in practice through hands-on creative assignments. Some of the art and design courses are fashion design, graphics design and interior design.

Courses revolves around a central element studio-based work, in media ranging from painting to sculpture, installation, printing, photography and time-based and digital media, and with the student specialising in their own area of interest. Students are given the opportunity to discuss and critique their own work and that of others with their tutors and peers, while universities often invite professional artists, curators and critics in to talk to students and give an external perspective.
Entry Requirements
Foundation & Diploma programmes – Pass Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia (SPM) with 5 credits / Unified Examination Certificate (UEC) with grade B in 3 subjects / O-Level with 5 credits
Degree programmes – Sijil Tinggi Pelajaran Malaysia / A-Level – 2 Full Passes with a minimum CGPA 2.00 (Grade C) (with Credit in English SPM / ‘O’ Level), UEC with 5Bs including English.
Masters programmes – minimum of a second class lower Bachelors Degree with honors in related field.
