We all know how important skills are. Whether it’s about seeking a job or switching to a different level, skills help you to stand out amongst other candidates. Talking about Linkedin, in recent research, the majority of the professionals expressed that skills are more important than a college education and 76% wished that managers should hire based on skills and not qualifications.

What LinkedIn has announced?

However, the job orientated social platform “LinkedIn” has announced its new feature “Skill assessment” to highlight an individual’s skills set.  LinkedIn users can now attempt a short quiz to verify their certain skills and according to the officials, around 30% of the users are likely to get hired after accomplishing LinkedIn skills assessment.

How it will help professionals?

This assessment will give users a chance to get hired with qualifying skills and help candidates to give their best efforts to recruiters and employers. “Each Skill Assessment, whether it’s Adobe Photoshop to showcase your design skills or Java to land a developer role, is constructed through a rigorous content creation and review process in partnership with LinkedIn Learning industry and subject matter experts,” said John Jersin, LinkedIn’s vice president of product management.
