The Digital Success of “Piyush Kukreja”- Digital Marketer and Practitioner

1-Hey Piyush, Tell us something about yourself and how your career started?

Hey, first of all, thank you so much for having me on your site. So, it was a long story- Please stay patient (Laughs). Myself Piyush, from Maharashtra. Since my college times from 2015-17, I and my friends were always excited about start-ups and entrepreneurship. I was very much inspired with Digital ideas like Paytm, Flipkart and Make in India by Shri. Narendra Modi Ji. I decided to build my start-up but somehow I wasn’t focused. Having infinite ideas in my mind, I decided to be an entrepreneur.

Things were going well but my Dad met with an accident, and that was the moment when I realized the importance of responsibilities. I often used to go to dad’s office and on the other hand, the College placements cell started. I was getting good job offers but I never wanted to do a job.

Then in 2017, my dad’s business got down and we have faced a lot of financial crisis. I did what I never intended to. I switched to an MNC job and at the same time, my interest in Digital Marketing has started. However, I was already aware of website creation and Youtube vlogs. Still, I decided to pursue a digital marketing course from Pune. The fee was 70-80 thousand which wasn’t a small amount for a person like me who was already facing a financial crisis.

2-So have you finally managed to become an entrepreneur or not?

(Laughs)I decided to take admission in that institute and started to save money from my salary. In the meantime, I found an online digital marketing course which was quite cost-efficient from that institute and finally I managed to learn digital marketing. Days passed and my father recovered from his injury. I quit my job to become an entrepreneur but things weren’t as easy as it seemed.

I approached a company to work with and the person there was my known. They were not having any vacancies but I still joined their team as an intern. I learned a lot from it without getting paid. Somehow, I knew that it will help me in the future. The person who was my known asked me “Piyush, can you make an e-commerce website if I will provide you the id and password? I replied- I have never done that before but I will surely try to.

Within a few hours, I showed them the basic structure which was good enough to make them shocked. And this is how I started to become a little entrepreneur every day. Finally after free internships and great experience in website designing,

I started my PODCAST in 2018 which was the best turning point in my career. It has helped me to connect with so many influencers like Jitendra Vaswani, Sorav Jain, and digital Pratik.

3-What areas of specialization do you like the most in digital marketing?

There is no such specialization which I like the most in digital marketing but in all these 24 months in my career, I have focused more on social media marketing, content creation, my podcasting and of course, e-commerce.

4-What marketing strategies do you find most helpful in digital marketing?

Well, Research, research, and research. The more you will research the better you will get. Either it is about the campaign, it is about the audience, or it is about your content strategy, researching before anything is always a plus point that will help you a lot in digital marketing.

5-Isn’t it hectic to manage work-life balance?

Work was hectic when I was doing my previous job but digital marketing is the field I am in love with. Just like gamers love PUBG, I love my field. When you love something it won’t feel hectic. My work is my life and it is not hectic to manage what I am doing today.

6- How do you keep yourself updated with the latest trends and changes in the digital marketing field?

Experience

Practice

Interviews that I take

Experts

7- How about opting for a digital marketing course from branded Institutes for the upcoming joiners?

Courses are just a part of your learnings, Real learning comes when you implement and practice. So, practice is the only key.

It’s not been a long time when I faced infinite issues to get admission in a branded digital marketing institutes and the time hasn’t changed yet. There are still students who cannot afford the fee charges. I am not against them but charging such a big amount on the name of the brand isn’t fair. Today after 2 years, I m blessed that I haven’t spent that 70-80 thousand to an institute who couldn’t even assure me to get good placements.

Digital marketing is like a doctor field. The more you practice, the better you will be and working under an experienced doctor (Digital marketing expert) will help you more throughout.

8- How about an affordable digital marketing institute that has its job portal and query support system, so you don’t have the struggle to get a job?- Why don’t you go through “Course Inbox”-digital marketing institute?

Well, I can sense that you have taken a good initiative to help students. After support what every student need are cost-efficient fee charges. I must say that you are doing such great work for students by ensuring them query support as well.

Talking about job portal, this is something every institute should provide after completing the course. However, from my perspective, this is something that I have always wanted in my early days when I was about to take admission in a digital marketing institute. Kudos to you for making it easy for everyone.  All the very best.
