 What is Comedk?

COMEDK UGET is the Consortium of Medical, Engineering and Dental Colleges of Karnataka under Graduate Entrance Test for various engineering and architecture college admissions.

COMEDK, since its inception in 2004-05, has conducted the annual entrance exam for undergraduate and postgraduate courses in the member institutions and has also organised single-window centralised counselling procedures over the past fifteen years.

This is a state level exam conducted by the Consortium of Engineering, medical and the dental college of Karnataka; earlier in 2015 this entrance exam was held only in Karnataka. But now this exam is conducted in various other cities like Ambala, New Delhi, Faridabad, Meerut, Rajkot, Hisar Karnal and many more. This entrance exam is conducted for the admission to undergraduate engineering courses at almost 190 colleges in Karnataka state. As per the COMEDK exam pattern issued there will be 1 mark given for each correct answer with no negative marking. This exam is conducted once a year.

In order to get admitted to a variety of top B. Tech programmes, students may be needed to take admission exams. Some of the most common B. Tech exams are as follows:

 Eligibility for Engineering Students: –

• Students must have passed their class 12th with at least 60% marks in their respective boards.
• Student must be a citizen of India
• Students should have Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry and English as their core subjects.
• The percentage criteria for SC, ST, OBCs are 40%.

• An Email ID once used for Registration online cannot be used again.
• Details given at the time of registration cannot be edited later on in the application form. Please review all details entered at time of registration before CLICKING ON SUBMIT BUTTON and proceeding to application form.
• After successful registration, you will receive the User id and Password on your Mobile Number and Email Id which is unique
• & system generated. Log in with your unique USER ID and PASSWORD to complete the application process. Click on “Go to Application” button (Right hand top corner) to be directed to Application Form.
• Kindly use Internet Explorer (version 10 and above) or Mozilla Firefox (48 and above) or Google Chrome (50 and above) to fill in the Application Form. Also clear your browsing history and cache and retry in case you are facing any technical issue in viewing the details in application form.

Important Dates

 Inter-se Merit for COMEDK UGET 2023 cutoff

In case of a tie in COMEDK cutoff 2023, where two or more candidates obtain the same ranks, the process of Inter-se will be followed in order to determine the ranks of such candidates. The process of determining Inter-se merit is explained below:

• In case of a tie, candidates with the least number of incorrect answers in the Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics sections will be given a higher rank.
• If the tie still remains, candidates having more aggregate marks in Physics and Mathematics will be given preference.
• If the tie still persists, candidates with more marks in the Mathematics section will be given preference.
• If the tie remains unbroken, the elder candidate will be given over the other.
