IBPS PO 2022 (Institute of Banking Personnel Selection Probationary Officer) conducted by Institute of Banking Personnel Selection (IBPS), is a national level test conducted once in a year. Ibps PO takes place in 3 stages as Prelims, Mains and Interview.

The qualifying candidates are placed in either Probationary Officer (PO) or Management Trainee (MT) posts based on the vacancies.

IBPS PO 2022 notification has been released on 2^nd August 2022 for 6932 vacancies.

IBPS PO 2022 Important Dates

Some important dates for IBPS PO 2022 are given below:

IBPS PO Exam Date 2022

The IBPS PO Prelims exam 2022 will be held on four days in the month of October.

The Mains exam will be held in November 2022 

Mode of Examination

IBPS PO will be conducted in online mode (computer based test), in objective format.

Medium of Examination

Both the Prelims and Mains can be taken up by the candidate either in English or in Hindi. However, the candidate must attend the English section to test their knowledge of the language

IBPS PO 2022 Eligibility Criteria

Nationality

A candidate must be either –

(i) Citizen of India or

(ii) Subject of Nepal or

(iii) Subject of Bhutan or

(iv) Tibetan Refugee who came over to India before 1st January 1962 with the intention of permanently settling in India or

(v) Person of Indian origin who has migrated from Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka, East African countries of Kenya, Uganda, the United Republic of Tanzania (formerly Tanganyika and Zanzibar), Zambia, Malawi, Zaire, Ethiopia and Vietnam with the intention of permanently settling in India, provided that a candidate belonging to categories (ii), (iii), (iv) & (v) above shall be a person in whose favour a certificate of eligibility has been issued by the Government of India.

Educational Qualification(As on 22/08/2022)

A Degree (Graduation) in any discipline from a University recognised by the Govt. Of India or any equivalent qualification recognized as such by the Central Government. The candidate must possess valid Mark-sheet / Degree Certificate that he/ she is a graduate on the day he / she registers and indicate the percentage of marks obtained in Graduation while registering online.

Age Limit ( As on 01/08/2022)

Minimum: 20 years Maximum: 30 years

i.e. A candidate must have been born not earlier than 02.08.1992 and not later than 01.08.2002 (both dates inclusive)

How to Apply for IBPS PO 2022?

Candidates can apply online only from 02.08.2022 to 22.08.2022 and no other mode of application will be accepted.

Pre-Requisites for Applying Online

Before applying online, candidates should—

(i) scan their :

– photograph (4.5cm × 3.5cm)

– signature

– Left Thumb Impression (If a candidate is not having left thumb, he/she may use his/ her right thumb. If both thumbs are missing, the impression of one of the fingers of the left hand starting from the forefinger should be taken. If there are no fingers on the left hand, the impression of one of the fingers of the right hand starting from the forefinger should be taken. If no fingers are available, the impression of left toe may be taken. In all such cases where left thumb impression is not uploaded, the candidate should specify in the uploaded document the name of finger and the specification of left/right hand or toe).- a hand written declaration (text given below). The hand written declaration has to be in the candidate’s hand writing and in English only. If it is written by anybody else and uploaded or in any other language, the application will be considered as invalid. (In the case of candidates who cannot write, may get the text of declaration typed and put their left hand thumb impression (if not able to sign also) below the typed declaration and upload the document as per specifications.) ensuring that the all these scanned documents adhere to the required specifications as given in Annexure III to this Advertisement.

(ii) Signature in CAPITAL LETTERS will NOT be accepted.

(iii) The left thumb impression should be properly scanned and not smudged

(iv) The text for the hand written declaration is as follows –“I, _______ (Name of the candidate), hereby declare that all the information submitted by me in the application form is correct, true and valid. I will present the supporting documents as and when required.”

(v) The above mentioned hand written declaration has to be in the candidate’s hand writing and in English only and should NOT BE IN CAPITAL LETTERS. If it is written by anybody else or in any other language, the application will be considered as invalid.

(vi) Keep the necessary details/documents ready to make Online Payment of the requisite application fee/ intimation charges

(vii) have a valid personal email ID, which should be kept active till the declaration of results of this round of CRP. IBPS may send intimation to download call letters for the Examination etc. through the registered e-mail ID. Under no circumstances, a candidate should share with/mention e-mail ID to / of any other person. In case a candidate does not have a valid personal e-mail ID, he/she should create his/her new e-mail ID before applying on-line and must maintain that email account.

Procedure for applying online

(1) Candidates are first required to go to the IBPS’s authorised website www.ibps.in and click on the Home Page to open the link “CRP PO/MT” and then click on the option “CLICK HERE TO APPLY ONLINE FOR CRP[1]PROBATIONARY OFFICERS/ MANAGEMENT TRAINEES (CRP-PO/MT-XII)” to open the On-Line Application Form.

(3) Candidates are required to upload their

– Photograph

– Signature

– Left thumb impression

– A hand written declaration

as per the specifications given in the Guidelines for Scanning and Upload of documents.

IBPS PO 2022 Application Fee

The application fee which can be paid through Credit Card, Debit Card or Net Banking. However, the bank processing/Transaction charges will also be included.

IBPS PO Admit Card 2022

Regarding the IBPS PO 2022 Admit Card, note the following Points:

1. The IBPS PO Prelims 2022 Admit Card will be available from October 2022
2. The IBPS PO Mains 2022 Admit Card will be available from November 2022
3. The IBPS PO Interview call letter 2022 will be available from January/February 2020
4. All the above admit cards will be made available on the official website through online mode only.
5. Candidates are required to download and take a print of their admit card as it will not be send via post.

Important Points to Remember

Candidates have to qualify in each of the three stages by securing the cut-off marks that are to be decided by IBPS.

As stated on official website, “a candidate should be sufficiently high in the merit to be shortlisted for subsequent provisional allotment process.” Thus, the candidate must pass in all the 3 stages in order to qualify IBPS PO

The IBPS PO Interview will be conducted in offline mode for almost 30-45 mins with the candidate for a total of 100 marks. In order to qualify the Interview Round, candidates need to score the minimum marks as follows:

The following documents (original and self-attested photocopies) are to be submitted at the time of Interview:

2. Date of Birth proof- (Birth Certificate issued by the competent municipal authorities/ class 10th certificate with DOB)
