Bihar Combined Entrance Competitive Examination (BCECE) is a state-level combined entrance examination, conducted by the Bcece board. On clearing this examination, the candidate shall become eligible to apply for professional courses in Pharmacy, Engineering and Agriculture streams. Based on the BCECE score, the candidates are eligible to be admitted in the government as well as private Institutions of the state of Bihar. The examination is conducted in two stages and an aspirant has to pass both the stages, in order to qualify. The official notification of BCECE 2019 will be released most probably in the month of February, 2019.
Scrapping of BCECE 2019
As per latest notice from BCECEB, the entrance examination has been cancelled for 2019. The admissions to UG Engineering and UG Medical courses shall be based on NTA Joint Entrance Exam Main and NEET scores for the year.

BCECE 2019 Eligibility Criteria
The Eligibility Criteria for BCECE 2019 Examination:
Nationality: The candidate must be an Indian citizen.
Domicile: Candidates should have a domicile of Bihar. His/her parents must be the permanent resident of Bihar. Candidates whose parent works in the state but lives outside Bihar are also eligible to apply.
Qualifying Exam: Candidates must have passed 10+2 examination or an equivalent exam from a recognised university or institution. Minimum 45% marks for general candidates and 40% for reserved categories are necessity for Application.
Subjects: Candidates must have Physics and Mathematics as their main subjects and Chemistry/Biotechnology/Biology as their optional subject.
Age Limit: There is no age limit.
Apart from above criteria, following entrance exam must be taken due to cancellation of BCECE 2019 exam.
JEE Main for Engineering & Agriculture
Engineering and Agriculture Aspirants in the state of Bihar must appear for NTA conducted JEE Main entrance exam (Paper-I) for admissions in either of the streams. This necessity has risen due to cancellation of BCECE exam.
NEET for Medical
Similarly, for M.B.B.S & B.D.S admissions to Bihar medical institutes, candidates must appear for the National-Entrance-cum-Eligibility-Test.
How to Apply for BCECE 2019 Examination?
Candidates will have to fill the application form of BCECE 2019 examination via online mode only. The application forms will be made available on the official website from the 1st week of March, 2019 with the last date for filling an online application falling in 1st week of April, 2019.
The application fees for BCECE 2019 are tabulated below:

The fees can be paid online through:
- credit card/ debit card,
- net banking.
Fee can also be paid offline by taking a print-out of the e-challan and submitting it to any branch of Canara bank.

Following documents are to be attached along with the application form for BCECE:
- Scanned / Soft copy passport size photograph (Less than 100KB)
- Scanned / Soft copy of signature (Less than 100KB)
- Aadhar Card (if available)
The complete application procedure for BCECE 2019 is divided into 6 stages.

BCECE Admit Card
Since no entrance test shall be conducted due to cancellation of BCECE 2019, hence, no admit cards shall be issued pertaining to the same.
Counseling through BCECEB shall take place through JEE Main and NEET admit cards respectively.
BCECE Exam Pattern
The BCECE exam pattern used to be as follows.
Exam Duration: The duration of Stage-I examination is 135 minutes and that of Stage-II is 90 minutes.
Type of Questions: There will be Multiple Choice Questions (MCQ).
Total Marks: 200 marks will be allotted to each subject in Stage-I and 400 for each subject in stage-II.
Total Number of Questions: There will be 50 questions in each subject in Stage-I and 100 questions in each subject for Stage-II.
Marking Scheme: 4 marks will be allotted for each correct answer. 1 mark will be deducted for each wrong answer.

BCECE 2019 Results
BCECE Results will be announced tentatively in the 3rd week of July, 2019. Candidates can download it from the BCECE 2019 official website and keep a hard copy of it.
- BCECE 2019 counselling will start from Last week of July, 2019.
- The candidates can attend the counselling on the basis of their order in the merit list. Candidates will be intimated about the process of counselling through the official website. They have to be present in the counselling for interview round.
- The counselling will be conducted through offline mode only.
- Candidates have to fill the choices for the college and branch as per their preference.
- On the basis of candidate’s filled choices and availability of seats, the seats will be allotted to the candidates after the verification of original documents.

Ques. When link will be available for BCECE 2019 Application form?
Answer: Application form for BCECE was supposed to be available from 1st week of March 2019, however, that did not happen.
It is expected that the forms shall be available post the conduction of JEE Main 2019 and NEET 2019.
Ques. Will the BCECEB conduct an exam for agriculture in 2019?
Answer: As per the official notification from BCECEB, no entrance exam shall be conducted for Engineering and medical admissions in the state of Bihar. However, the notification does not comment on such a possibility for Agriculture stream. Hence, nothing concrete can be said in this matter.
