Beer Lovers May Exhibit Anti-Social Tendencies, Study Reveals

Is your day starts with a Black Coffee?? Your Evening Starts with a bottle of Beer or your night ends with a Red Wine??

If you are following any of these behaviours, then there is a chance you may start exhibiting anti-social, psychopath tendencies!

You can’t blame on me.. I am just telling you, what the Austria’s Innsbruck University revealed in its Research (Sagioglou C. & Greitemeyer T., Individual differences in bitter taste
preferences are associated with antisocial personality traits, Appetite (2015), doi: 10.1016/
j.appet.2015.09.031.)

In their two studies, they investigated how a Bitter taste preference is linked with anti-social Personality Traits.

From two US American Community samples they assessed Machiavellianism, psychopathy, narcissism, everyday sadism, trait aggression, asking the personality questionnaire with association with their taste choices.

Results of both of their studies confirmed their hypothesis about the positive association of bitter taste preferences and malevolent personality traits, linked with everyday psychopathy and sadism.

Foodstuffs such as beer, wine, coffee, celery, radishes, tonic water ,chilli pepper, etc are the foods that we consume in our everyday life, which are unwillingly making us malevolent to some extent.

Survival depends on the consumption of sweet and the rejection of bitter substances, because sweet foods typically feature high caloric density whereas bitterness is often a marker for toxins.” – Innsbruck researchers write.

We should try to avoid this bitterness in our life, by avoiding these bitter foods in our diets. Please do not forget to share this article with your friends, family & colleagues. And you can discuss your views and thoughts in the comment box below.
