Commission recommends against retaining Utah judge

The Utah Judicial Performance Evaluation Commission has turned thumbs down on just one of nearly 90 judges on the ballot for retention this year. On a 7-2 vote, the commission recommended against Su Chon’s retention, saying the 3rd District judge does not meet the minimum standard for legal ability and scores well below the average of her peers in other categories.
