A Buying Guide To Activewear

So you've decided to start a Workout plan. First of all, that is awesome! No matter how you achieve your workout, in a gym, or at home, you need to consider the gear. By gear, I mean Activewear and shoes.

Is what you wear important? Some will say no but I say yes, for several reasons. You want to make sure you are Wearing the right fabrics. You should be wearing light, breathable fabrics. You want to have the right Support. This is especially true for women. There is nothing wrong with looking good while you sweat it out either. When you look good, you feel good.

The Racer-Back

offers
 the
 most
 support

Ladies, you need a good sports bra! It keeps them in place while you work out and therefore prevents sagging. Sports Bras are designed for different workouts by intensity. So look for the support level on the tag.

Experts say the biggest mistake women make is wearing bras that are too small and don't have an adequate band size. The straps should be snug. Racer-back style offers the most support because the straps hold the bra closer to the body.

WHAT'S THE DEAL WITH COMPRESSION GEAR?

You'll find mixed opinions whether Compression Technology works. It originally promised to enhance performance but that hasn't turned out to be true. What it does deliver on is Muscle Recovery. Which is reason enough in my book.

 BRANDS I LOVE

MPG Sport is my favorite brand currently. They make men's and women's activewear. Their workout wear is functional and so attractive, you can go from day to night in it. It has been endorsed by many Dancers and Athletes. They recently introduced a Julianne Hough line that is fabulous.

Another brand I love is Fabletics. This brand was started by Kate Hudson because she thought workout clothes should be affordable. I totally agree! What's different about them is it is a membership site where you can get monthly outfits. There is also a Lifestyle Quiz which acts as your Personal Stylist. Matching your body type and exercise style with the right gear.

Finally, there is Athleta. This is a fitness brand for women that utilizes a Fabric Technology called Regul 8. It regulates your body temperature so you are never too cold or too hot.

What are your favorites?
