Tags: hair

Doing right things in right way yields a good result but if done in wrong way then even effective thing becomes ineffective. Same is case with hair and about washing them. After you read these tips you will realize how simple these things are which you were missing for years.

These simple tips or precautions can save your Hair health only by washing properly

    1. Wash hair every other day. Washing hair daily and too often can take out its natural oils and leave your hair dried out. As a result damaged and rough hair. try to make a routine to shampoo your hair every other day or twice a week only.

    2. Shampoo, a basic need to wash hair, which everyone buys. But the thing we missed to check are chemicals used in them. Try to use shampoos that do not contains Sulfates and Parabens. Sulfates are the chemicals that make shampoos lather up. Parabens are preservatives that cause irritation and eye problems after prolonged use. Both of these chemicals aren't healthy for you or the environment so try to use shampoos having natural cleansers.

 3. Your hairs have specific type and washing them with any kind of shampoo is not a good practice to follow. Instead choose a shampoo that suits your hair type, go for the shampoo that works for your hair type. Typical types include (but are not limited to):
  • For Curly or coarse hair  - frizz-minimizing and softening shampoo.
  • For Straight or oily hair - gentle shampoo designed for daily washing.
  • Colored or treated hair - a shampoo that's fortified with extracts or amino acids, because treating your hair is essentially damaging it.
  • Dry hair - shampoos with glycerin and collagen to help restore some moisture into the hair.

4. Hair Conditioner is the second thought while taking care of your hair. Hair conditioner is a hair product that's used to smooth hair and make it more manageable. Use conditioner that matches your hair type, length, and treatment damage. A good rule of thumb is to condition every time you shampoo your hair, although very processed or dyed hair probably needs a little more love than natural hair.

The best way to apply a conditioner is to apply it at the ends of your hair, as this is the part that is damaged (it’s the oldest). Putting conditioner near your scalp and roots can actually clog your follicles, and slow hair growth/increase oil production. Also try to apply it to every strand that you’re able to.

5. Protein, a building block of life and of healthy hair also which you will find on many conditioner bottles labeled as "with Protein Serum" these kinds of shampoo and conditioners are a real good treat for your hair. But prevent using a prduct which contains too much of it. Too much protein can ruin up everything, the main purpose and will eventually leave your hair as dessicated and brittle.

"Too much of a good thing can make you sick" a old saying comes true here also. Key is to use conditioners with balance indegredients or to use less amount. Try not to use these kind of conditioners.

Same is with Frizz-control serum it should also be used carefully. Just wash once a week with a deep-cleanse shampoo to avoid build-up, which will leave hair looking dull and flaky.

    6. Remember the Shampoo product which claims to clean hair, make them shinier and remove dandruff.?? !!! I know there are many, even every second shampoo claim these things. If you are buying shampoos for these reasons, then use this SECRET ingredient lying in your kitchen and forget about buying those shampoos again.

Rinse your hair with vinegar before shampooing. Doing this helps to make your hair look shinier and cleaner plus it treats dandruff. Use 1 part vinegar (preferably organic apple cider vinegar) to 3 parts warm water, then rinse and wash your hair as normal.

    7. Moisture is a very simple and general term which might not get your attention but hold on read this tip, You will be surprised why you didn’t gave importance to this before. Moisturizing hair is very important, it helps hair regain their oil content, prevents them from drying and makes them more shinier and rejuvenates them from root to ends. It is also found that good moisturized hair are less prone to break and minimizes Grey hair.

A quick simple recipe to Moisturize your hair is to use mixture of these five oils: almond, castor, olive, coconut and lavender oils. Mix together equal proportions of each. Apply to the hair and leave in for four hours prior to showering out. Time can be reduced but longer the time it will be on your the more your hair will absorb.

  • For fine hair: If you have very limp hair, try a botanical oil treatment or lavender or tea-tree oil before you shampoo.
  • For medium to thick hair, use a moisturizer with natural hydrators. Shea and cocoa butters, olive, coconut, and sweet almond oils are an ideal hydrator and nourisher and imparts shine, improves elasticity, and softens the hair.
