Although both intensity and duration are important if your initial level of fitness doesn’t allow you to exercise for more than 10 minutes then incorporating 10 minutes of fitness for weight loss 3 times throughout your day will give you similar benefits to doing the 30 minutes all at once. Then as your fitness improves you’ll be able to maintain an intensity for a greater duration.

Your goal in a fitness for weight loss program is to do a moderate amount of exercise for your fitness level while maintaining that intensity level for 45 minutes. At this intensity level you should be producing sweat for at least half the work out and be slightly out of breath when you finish. If you are moderately to severely overweight you should use only low impact aerobic activities to decrease any potential damage to your joints. Start CrossFit has many forms of Cardio that caters to this.

I just want to thank the coaches so much for all the effort made over the 21-day drop a dress size challenge. I haven’t yet had a class with any of the other trainers, however I am sure they are just as fantastic! I am truly glad that I found this gym (Sandi Dillon should get a massage voucher for recommending me! ;)) and lastly I’m sorry for making a mess upstairs by spilling my protein powder all over the place oops!

Results – I have lost four kilos to date.
Experience at Start CrossFit – Awesome!  So awesome I have joined!  Whilst I was really anxious about the whole thing I felt comfortable during the classes.  That confidence grew each time I went – especially when trainers remembered who I was, offered alternatives to exercises I wasn’t quite getting etc.  The coaches have been fantastic.  I have enjoyed my training.  They are so supportive and pushed me when I needed it without every feeling like I was being yelled at!
Thoughts and Value – The program was great value.  I have now set a goal for the next three months and for the first time I think I will be able to get there.  Its not just about the training, the education of food has been so valuable.  I never thought I would have to eat more to loose weight – but now I know and understand what I am putting into my body and how I can more effectively loose weight.

I loved working out at Start CrossFit – you have such a friendly and motivational team!
In the last 3 weeks I have gone from a size 14 to a very comfortable size 12 and although it doesn’t matter to me about scales I did manage to crack 80kgs (woohoo!)
As I am already on a strict diet program (isagenix) I didn’t follow the diet as much as the other girls did.
I did, however, learn a lot about nutrition from you and your staff and found all the information to be very useful.
Every experience at Start CrossFit has been great from the moment I step through the door right through to when I leave.
The staff members are always so happy.
The workouts are challenging but fun, it was motivational and the coaches always offered advice.
I am currently a member at fitness first and will be trying to pull out of my contract this week;

I have thoroughly enjoyed my time at Start CrossFit so far.  The 3 week challenge program was just what I needed to get off my butt and do something about the unwanted kilos and lack of fitness.
The classes are tough but fun.  The coaches are the right mix of understanding and fun loving but still tough and determined to get results. I really enjoy the social aspect and the culture you are striving for at Start CrossFit.
I don’t know how much weight I’ve lost but I’ve definitely dropped a dress size – more importantly I’ve rediscovered a love for exercise and a more positive outlook on life.
