Kicking off my runDisney season

We are finally on our way: headed to Disney for the start of our next Rundisney Season and the second Tower of Terror 10-miler. I'm so excited!!!!!😊

This week has been tough because I've been so busy with my annual conference for work. I will say, I highly respect those who drive in Atlanta traffic everyday and still keep their sanity. I could not be one of them. Ever.

Anyways, all the driving and conferencing on top of my normal parenting and wifely duties have prevented me from getting in my regular runs, which is the first time I've missed runs on this program. Rather than freak out, however, I'm just going to call it tapering and be grateful for fresh legs for the race this weekend.

This is an odd Trip for us: it's me, the hubster, and my son. No princess this time around. She's got a cheer comp, so it's a sacrifice for her sport.

At first, we debated bringing Aus without his sister, but, thanks to cheer, she's gotten to take several trips without him, not to Disney, but trips still. We felt like it was fair for him to get one just for him.

Since his Birthday was just two weeks ago, we're going to use it to celebrate. He's stoked to get to have a birthday to himself for once - my kids are twins- and we're excited to get some one-on-one with him.

This doesn't mean it was an easy choice. My daughter wished she could go, but she is definitely committed to her sport and so she understood. Still, I may have cried a bit this morning when we said goodbye. I'm thinking she gets some good souvenirs!

Still, like the beginning of every trip, I'm excited for this new adventure, especially to make some memories with my son!
