Time comes in its blocks - be it days or months or years.
And for me I do not take a new year as a time necessarily to take stock and reflect;
mostly because Im adept at analysising and overanalysing life as I live it!
but also because I think for reflection to be effective we have to choose and take time to do that.
For me, smack bang between December and Janusry is not that time!

What I will say is that I am blessed.
Incredibly so.
I have stayed well this year, all year and that for me is a beautiful delight, but one which I am not solely attributing to 2012 - I intend to be well throughout 2013 also!

I will not makes resolutions to lose weight, quick smoking and keep on top of the ironing,
but I am certain that I will continue to live as best as can.
That I will keep trying to live with greater faith and peace
and that I will not let circumstances or situations claim my life.

For me it is the moments, minutes and hours that are landmarks for us to reflect upon.
Why wait until something has been rotting in your life, or struggling, or walking the wrong way for a year before stopping to consider what could be different?
Living should be reflected upon - everyday.

But as we walk away from 2012 crossing the bridge to 2013 I wonder what we carry in our hearts?
For me I have decided to let myself ponder this week the concept that I have qualities which are desirable and useful and have within them promise and that in considering that promise I will find opportunity and riches to claim in the coming year.
And then in those hours as they come, I may claim them.
