Infections of the Fungus Cryptococcus gattii have reported through July 1 in the northwestern U.S., making the fungus enough of a Danger that clinicians should be alert for it, according to the CDC. A total of 60 cases have now been reported in California, Idaho, and Washington as well as in Oregon.
