The Patient above had so little fat on the abdomen it was decided to do Coolsculpting rather than liposuction there.  The flat Coolsculpting handpiece was selected since the modest amount of fat could not be drawn up into the suction handpieces.  The photo, taken 8 months later, shows an appropriate reduction in fat.  There is virtually none that can be felt.

The love handles on the other hand had a little more fat and the patient chose smartlipo over coolsculpting since he wanted the Maximum Reduction possible there in one treatment.  That area also shows the maximum reduction possible, with no fat notable with pinching the skin.  The roll of muscles that can be seen above the hip is the folding of the obliques as they insert onto the hip bone.

Tailored treatment, sometimes involving both coolsculpting and liposuction allows patients who are already fit but have a few problem areas, some thicker and some with just small amounts of fat, to be treated to the maximum benefit with a minimum of side effects.
