Mainly, there are two ways of direct digital radiography;

Direct digital radiography:
In this procedure, a direct sensor is used to capture the image that s of your teeth and its internal parts. It generally takes few seconds to capture the image that appears on the computer screen.

Indirect digital radiography:
In this procedure, photon energy which is emitted from the generator is used. The generator emits lights from a phosphor plat rather than a digital sensor. In direct digital radiography, a laser beam usually scans the light and then transmitted to the computer software for image generation by using grey-scale data at a time.
