Bollywood actor Gulshan Grover, whose feature film 'Badman' will be an opening film at the prestigious 39th Moscow International Film Festival and has also been invited to be screened at the London Indian Film, recently said that it's a very proud moment for him as his movie, which represents progressive cinema, is earning international acclaim. While speaking to ANI, he said that Badman' is a film since anything that is for web, it has the impression it is a series, so Badman is not the series. It is India's first mockumentary movie. It is also India's first original movie for the web audience. He said that he’s very happy that this movie represents progressive cinema, the cinema of today and indeed has a different kind of form.
he continued to say that, everyone, Rishi Kapoor, actress Manisha Koirala and Mahesh Bhatt is playing themselves in the movie. In a sense, it's a unique film that was created to be watched on mobile phones and I-pads, but it was the strength of the movie that broke the barriers. And, today 'Badman' is going to be the opening film at the 39th Moscow International Film Festival and will be screened at London film festival.
The actor is quite excited to watch the reactions of Russian audience for his film.
He said that he’s extremely excited and thrilled about Moscow Film Festival, going there to attend the prestigious film festival and also watch the reactions of the Russian audience. The movie is going to have Russian subtitles and expectedly, Russian dubbing as well. So, it will be a great fun and he’s very excited about it.
He added continued to state that, his friend Sunil Sethi, President of Fashion Design Council, has sent five Indian costumes just for him to wear at the Moscow film festival. He brought five designers with five different Jodhpuri suits. So, he’s also very excited about his costume.
The film is directed by Soumik Sen and the movie 'Badman' has actor Chunky Pandey playing a negative role, and features cameos by veteran actor Rishi Kapoor, filmmaker Mahesh Bhatt, ace choreographer-filmmaker Farah Khan, director Shoojit Sircar and actress Manisha Koirala.
The 61-year-old actor yesterday attended the curtain raiser press conference of the 39th Moscow International Film Festival which is scheduled for June 22-29 at Moscow.
