Kahlua Dip is a delicious and easy to make dessert dip with only 6 ingredients.

A dessert dip is not a traditional dessert. And that’s what makes it so cool. Imagine displaying this sweet dip and letting your guests go to town dipping away. It’s something a little different and it’s totally sweet, decadent and amazing, so be sure to try it!

Ingredients needed:

  • cream cheese
  • Cool Whip
  • brown sugar
  • sour cream
  • Kahlua
  • chopped pecans
  • fruit and/or shortbread or ginger cookies, for serving

How to make Kahlua Dip:

The complete, printable recipe is at the end of this post.

In a large bowl, use an electric mixer to combine the cream cheese, Cool Whip, brown sugar, sour cream and Kahlua. Cover and refrigerate. How easy is that?!

How to toast pecans:

This recipe doesn’t call for toasting the pecans, but it’s a good thing to do if you want that little extra punch of flavor. There are a couple of ways to toast pecans. It’s very easy to do!

  1. Spread them on a baking sheet and roast them in a 350°F oven. This is the best method for toasting pecans if you want to toast a lot of them. I like to toast more than I need, and then store the rest of the toasted pecans in the freezer for adding to yogurt, etc.
  2. Toast them in a skillet over medium-high heat. This is the best method to use for this recipe, since you’re only toasting a smaller amount.

Is it okay to leave nuts out of this recipe?

Yes! I don’t always particularly care for nuts in recipes. Maybe you too? And many people are allergic. It’s completely okay to leave out the pecans in this dip. It won’t change the outcome much at all. And you can also substitute slivered almonds if you don’t care for pecans.

What kinds of things can you dip into Kahlua Dip?

    • strawberries
    • graham crackers

    • apple slices

    • sliced bananas
