10 Things to Share #53

Hi Friends!

Here’s my weekly post sharing about what’s going on in the world of RecipeGirl, as well as some fun links to things I’ve come across lately. So here it goes: following are 10 things to share with you this week- everything from recipes to shopping to a few fun articles and more. There are a few affiliate links included here and there. Enjoy!

Let’s Have Something Pumpkin for Breakfast!

  • These Copycat Starbucks Pumpkin Scones taste just like the real deal, yet you’ll find that they’re much more tender and delicious than those you buy at the coffee shop.
  • Baked Pumpkin Donuts are perfect for chilly mornings in the fall and winter.
  • Pumpkin Waffles are definitely a must-make fall breakfast!
  • Pumpkin French Toast Casserole is a simple, make-ahead breakfast recipe that your family will be begging you to make again and again during the fall months.
  • Here’s a healthy, homemade Pumpkin Granola!
  • Pumpkin Cinnamon Roll Pancakes are undeniably the best breakfast treat I’ve ever made, eaten or shared with my RecipeGirl readers.
  • Enjoy the warm and comforting flavors of fall with these Pumpkin Coffee Cake Muffins!
  • Pumpkin Pie Pop Tarts are a totally fun sweet treat to make for breakfast in the fall season.

Fun Shopping Finds:

  • This looks cozy, and it’s perfect for the season!
  • Here’s a cute skirt I got for going out (evening occasions). I thought it would look cute with tall black boots.
  • I have been eyeing these boots for a long time. So I finally pulled the plug, and I am IN LOVE! They are so cute in person. Super high quality, and beautiful too. I got the ice multi color, which is super cool. I also got these booties, and I am in love with them too!! (SALE)
  • I love the PJ Salvage brand of pajamas, and these are so very cute. Lots of patterns to choose from, but I’m partial to the ivory one with the wine glasses! (good price!)
  • Here’s an adorable hat to wear for Halloween… however, they have a TON of different colors (cheap!)
  • Looking for a pair comfortable jeans? These jeans are the best fitting, comfiest jeans I’ve had in a long time. They are higher waisted, they fit true-to-size, and I love the side slits on the bottom (very stylish). They’re pretty long (I’m 5’8″), so I wear with heels- nothing very high.
  • I bought this faux leather tank top to wear to concerts and funky nights out with friends!
  • I keep seeing these plaid shirt jackets everywhere, and they are usually pretty pricy. I found one on Amazon, it’s a good price, and they have a lot of colors. It came in the mail the other day, and it’s good quality and cute.

Instagram accounts to follow:

  • Do you follow @Goodnews_Movement? It’s a great account, full of feel-good stories. This particular post made me UGLY CRY! It reminded me of my Mom, who had dementia… but she remembered words to songs from when she was younger.
  • Follow @allthehealthythings for some beautiful healthy meal ideas!

What I’m watching and reading:

  • I watched the latest season of Virgin River on Netflix. Have you seen this show? It’s a very “Hallmark Channel” kind of show. I love it!
  • I just finished listening to The Art Thief (very interesting!) Now I’m waiting for one of the next books on my list to become available on the Libby App. So while I’m waiting, I’m going to direct you to my sister Susie’s Instagram, where she reviews a ton of books. If you’re looking for something new, go there!

Fun Recipes I’ve spotted on the internet this week:

  • Here’s an easy and delicious Ham & Cheese Breakfast Soufflé loaded with smoked Gouda, ham, eggs and Parmesan wrapped in puff pastry.
  • I think I’ve gotta try this Crockpot Buffalo Chicken Pasta. Yum!
  • Chocolate Tres Leches Cake sounds like an amazing twist on the classic recipe!

Here’s what’s going on in my life:

  • OMG, I haven’t seen my husband in four weeks, and we are finally reunited again! He had to stay in Arizona to do some work, and I headed up to Oregon to enjoy the change of seasons. Now we have just a few more weeks in Oregon before we head down to Arizona for the winter/spring.
  • We had rain here in central Oregon for a few days (which I LOVED), and now it’s gone. It’s just kind of chilly-ish now (high 50’s and low 60’s). It’s glorious fall weather.
  • I’ve been online shopping a lot, which explains my Fun Shopping Finds above. Many things I order and then end up returning, but I’ve been pretty lucky lately. Because my husband has been gone, I’ve been a little bored. No going out to dinner or really going out to do much at all means I’ve had more money to spend for shopping!!

Catch up on food-related news of the week:

  • New Cookbook Release: Natasha’s Kitchen: 100+ Easy Family-Favorite Recipes You’ll Make Again and Again by Natasha Kravchuk. I do not have this book yet, but I’d love to get my hands on it. Natasha is a popular blogger, and she is so fun to watch on her recipe videos too. Here’s a description of the book from Amazon: In 1989, four-year-old Natasha Kravchuk and her family entered the United States as refugees from Ukraine. Her mother was an amazing cook and spoiled her family with delicious meals, so Natasha never learned how to cook until she got married and had her own family to nurture. In 2009, she began blogging about the joy she discovered in creating and sharing recipes. Her audience exploded, connecting with her warmth and willingness to share both her triumphs and failures in the kitchen. In Natasha’s Kitchen, she shares 100+ family-friendly, foolproof recipes anyone can whip up on even the busiest weeknight. From Salmon Piccata and Turkey Meatball Soup to Crispy Bacon Jalapeno Poppers as well as traditional Ukrainian recipes passed down from her mother like classic Borscht and her famous Pierogis, Natasha’s family-friendly recipes are made with easy-to-find ingredients and have been thoroughly tested. And because she loves to have her large extended family and friends over, there are also menus for sharing and easy entertaining—from a taco bar to a chili bar to the ultimate cheese board.
  • Famed Chef Michael Chiarello died due to an acute allergic reaction. Sad.
  • A Giant Charcuterie Board set a new world record!
  • TikTokers are fighting over bean soup. What?

Products I’m loving:

  • I ordered a new comforter set for our primary bedroom, and it’s totally adorable.
  • White Mountain puzzles are the best, and I found a cute Halloween puzzle for you to work on!
  • Look for Cocktail Candy (dehydrated oranges and other fruits) at your local liquor store. I tried to see if I could find these online, but no luck. If you have a well-stocked liquor store near you, they might have them. They are great for adding to cocktails like an old fashioned, etc. Love them!
  • Last year for Halloween, I dressed as a “Go Go Girl” and wore this purple wig. I still have it, and it’s fabulous!
  • As you approach baking season, consider getting a Silicone Pastry Mat for rolling out cookies and cinnamon roll dough, etc. It makes life a lot easier!
  • Look for Trader Joe’s Maple Pecan Granola. It’s delicious!
  • Pick up a cookie scoop for upcoming holiday baking!
  • I have two of these loaf pans, and I use them every time I bake my best pumpkin bread recipe in the fall. Worth the purchase- they’re so cute!

Let’s bake some Pumpkin Desserts!

  • Chocolate Pumpkin Brownies are the perfect fall chocolate dessert.  They are a nice blend of chocolate and pumpkin!
  • This recipe for Chocolate Chip Pumpkin Spice Bars is a good recipe to make if you’re on the hunt for a fall dessert to feed a small crowd!
  • Pumpkin Snickerdoodles are the cookie recipe you must make every year during pumpkin season!

Next Week’s Recipes:

  • On RecipeGirl: Apricot Cranberry Chicken, Kahlua Dip and Pumpkin Doughnut Drops
  • On RecipeBoy: Slow Cooker Tortilla Soup
  • On RecipesForHolidays: 52 Favorite Pasta Recipes for National Pasta Day!

Have a wonderful week!
