Here’s my weekly post sharing about what’s going on in the world of RecipeGirl, as well as some fun links to things I’ve come across lately.   • Smoked Pork Chops with Maple Baked Apples is a wonderful fall dinner for any occasion!
  • This hearty Chicken, Leek and Apple Stew recipe is plump full of chicken, leeks and apples. This is the perfect fall comfort dinner recipe.
  • These Cheddar Stuffed Chicken Breasts with Apple Bacon Pan Sauce are one of my family’s favorite things to eat for dinner.
  • Apple Thyme Chicken is the perfect recipe for using up your fresh thyme and juicy apples!

What I’m watching and reading:

  • I watched the new Adam Sandler movie on Netflix: You Are So Not Invited to My Bat Mitzvah. It was very cute. His daughter has the main role in the movie.
  • I’ve been listening to the podcast: Think Twice (about Michael Jackson). It covers his childhood and discusses all of the allegations surrounding him, his legacy, etc. I’m finding it interesting.

Fun Recipes I’ve spotted on the internet this week:

  • Pear and Vanilla Jam sounds amazing!
  • Chicken Parm Stromboli would be a delicious recipe to make for football Sundays!
  • I love the idea of enjoying Cannoli Cookies. Yum!

Here’s what’s going on in my life:

  • I’m back in Oregon! I’ve been trying to get back to a normal time schedule since returning from France! After several nights of waking up at 3:30AM, I think I’m finally there!
  • I saw the Barbie movie with friends. Am I the last one to see this? I thought it was cute. I didn’t love it, but it was worth seeing if you played with Barbies as a child (there are several funny parts).
  • My sister was visiting me this week, and we made a big pot of soup to share: Lentil Sausage Soup by TheCozyCook. It was delicious!

  • Do you have a heavy sleeper who needs help waking up? I bought this Heavy Sleeper Alarm Clark for my niece, who just started college. It’s a must-have!
  • My sister bought this cute Vet Clinic for her grandson, and it has been a big hit!
  • Look for all of the pumpkin-themed things at your market. It’s pumpkin season!
  • I love to-do lists! Here’s my favorite to-do list notepad.
  • Here’s the coziest faux fur throw blanket to keep you warm in fall and winter!
  • Look for the Butternut Squash Mac and Cheese at Trader Joe’s. My adult son says it’s LIFE CHANGING!
  • If you have a little one who is hoping to dress as Wednesday Addams, I found the cutest Wednesday Addams costume!
  • Love this pretty fall wreath!

Let’s bake something with apples!

  • This recipe for Incredible Apple Pie will remind you very much of a delicious French apple pie.
  • This tender and wonderful Apple Bundt Cake is topped with a delicious cream cheese frosting.
  • Apple Cobbler is the absolutely best dessert to make when you have a bounty of delicious, fresh apples!
