10 Things to Share #42

Hi Friends!

Here’s my weekly post sharing about what’s going on in the world of RecipeGirl, as well as some fun links to things I’ve come across lately. So here it goes: following are 10 things to share with you this week- everything from recipes to shopping to a few fun articles and more. There are a few affiliate links included here and there. Enjoy!

Let’s Grill!

  • I love this Grilled Skirt Steak with Corn and Cherry Tomato Salad. It’s an easy, healthy dinner!
  • Here’s an obsessive-worthy sticky, sweet heat Honey Sriracha Orange Chicken!
  • Chili Rubbed Pork Chops with Grilled Pineapple Salsa is one of the best pork chop recipes I’ve ever made.
  • This is a delicious, easy recipe for Sesame Balsamic Tuna. It’s a fresh marinated tuna recipe topped with mushroom sauce.
  • If you’re looking for a new way to prepare your pork tenderloin, you will want to try this Grilled Pork Tenderloin with Hoisin Sesame Sauce.
  • Quick and easy, Satay Chicken with Spicy Peanut Sauce is a family dinner winner! The coconut marinade keeps the chicken tender and the spicy sauce is ready in minutes- perfect for busy weeknights.
  • Truly enjoy the summer with this sweet and spicy Grilled Cilantro Lime Shrimp served with cool and refreshing Avocado Dip.

Fun Shopping Finds:

  • These are cute sandals!
  • I love this pretty, summery top.
  • I have a couple pairs of these classic cropped pants. They’re perfect.
  • This eyelet summer top is so pretty too!
  • These shoes are super comfortable. I have them in black!
  • I’m thinking these flare pants would be comfortable and cute to have. They’re so different!
  • I’m drawn to this dress in blue. Pretty!

Instagram accounts to follow:

  • Follow @StuffYouActuallyNeed to watch this guy review things on Amazon. It’s fun, and you get sucked into products!
  • Follow @EasyChickenRecipes for chicken dinner ideas!

What I’m watching and reading:

  • I just started watching The Lincoln Lawyer on Netflix. There is a 2nd season out, but I just started on the first. It’s a good one.
  • I am not listening to a book right now, but my sister (@NovelVisits) recommends Strange Sally Diamond by Liz Nugent. It’s a thriller. Here is the description from Amazon: Reclusive Sally Diamond causes outrage by trying to incinerate her dead father. Now she’s the center of attention, not only from the hungry media and police detectives, but also a sinister voice from a past she does not remember. As she begins to discover the horrors of her early childhood, Sally steps into the world for the first time, making new friends, big decisions, and learning that people don’t always mean what they say. But who is the man observing Sally from the other side of the world, and why does he call her Mary? And why does her new neighbor seem to be obsessed with her?

Fun Recipes I’ve spotted on the internet this week:

  • This Baked Denver Omelette looks food for an easy breakfast.
  • I love the idea of making Bundt Pan Nachos!
  • It’s probably extremely decadent, but this Cream Cheese Pasta looks so good!
  • OMG this Bourbon Pecan and Peach Crisp looks amazing.

Here’s what’s going on in my life:

  • We went to a country music concert (my husband surprised me!) It was a weekend festival held at the fairgrounds where we live in Oregon. We had a great time! Willie Nelson was the headliner at the end of the event.
  • And now, we are currently in Lake Tahoe at a family reunion on my side of our family. We have a huge family, so it’s lovely seeing family I haven’t seen in years. More on that next week!

Catch up on food-related news of the week:

  • New book release: This one isn’t a cookbook, but it’s a blank recipe book to write your own favorite recipes- Blank Recipe Book by Grace Clark. I really love the concept of a book like this. I know some people keep binders of favorite recipes, but you have to think about your kids and whoever is going to inherit your recipes. It’s so lovely to be able to get handwritten recipes passed down. Those recipe cards from my Mom are my favorite.
  • Guess what the most popular beer in America is?
  • Have you seen the viral Smashburger tacos?
  • I’ve gotta check out Pasta Chef Barbie. Fun!

Products I’m loving:

  • If you work from home and sit most of the day, you might like this seat cushion that I just bought. I use it for my office chair (or the stools at my kitchen counter), and it’s so much for comfortable for a long day of sitting. I’m going to try using it the car too.
  • Look for Elote Corn Chip Dippers at Trader Joes. They are a bit spicy, but they’re so delicious!
  • We were having an issue with trying to get our wine glasses completely dry after washing, so I bought this roll-up dish drying rack. It’s great because you can order the size you need for your sink. It simply lays over the top, and it’s perfect for drying glasses and dishes!
  • My son wanted a nice set of pots and pans, so I bought him this set of All Clad for his new apartment. He was so excited!
  • Look for Fever Tree Elderberry Tonic Water to use in your Gin and Tonics!
  • If you’re into food prep, or taking meals to eat at work… consider these glass lunch containers. They last so much longer than plastic, and you can re-use them over and over again forever.
  • We love this steamer so much to use for easy steaming out light wrinkles from our clothes. Sometimes we even bring it on trips with us!
  • This backpack cooler has been used nonstop this summer on all of our summer adventures.

Bake a cobbler this week!

  • Blackberry Raspberry Cobbler is a lovely combination of two summer berries baked with a sweet cobbler topping.
  • This Strawberry Shortcake Skillet Cobbler is a strawberry shortcake recipe made in a cast iron skillet with a cornmeal cobbler baked on top.
  • Take advantage of peach season with this must try Peach Cobbler!

Next Week’s Recipes:

  • On RecipeGirl: Air Fryer Salmon with Chardonnay Butter Sauce, Fish and Chips and Raspberry Orange Freezer Jam
  • On RecipeBoy: Raspberry Peach Crumble
