Enjoy!

My Favorite Grilled Chicken Recipes!

  • Grilled Chicken and Pineapple Rice Bowls with Teriyaki Glaze are a great dinner to try on the grill this summer.
  • Here’s a very simple Honey Mustard Grilled Chicken recipe that is sure to become a favorite, repeat recipe all grill season long.

  • Grilled Honey Chicken with Cherry Sauce is a recipe you’ll want to make while fresh cherries are in season and at their sweetest.
  • Here’s a big-time easy, favorite recipe for grilled Cilantro Chicken.  This is simply marinated chicken that is grilled and topped with a sweet sauce.

  • I’m loving the price on this simple and cute summer dress.
  • Great price on this Reebok Sports Bra.
  • I love the ties on these pants, and they come in some nice colors.
  • Cute summer top!
  • I think I need these no-heel sandals.
  • This summer dress looks comfortable and cute.

Instagram accounts to follow:

  • Follow @Skye_Samoyed_Scotland to see pics of cutest fluffiest dog ever!

What I’m watching and reading:

  • I watched the Arnold Schwarzenegger documentary “Arnold.” It was really interesting to see how he went from bodybuilder to actor to politician.
  • I’ve just started listening to “The Heart’s Invisible Furies” by John Boyne. It has won many awards, and it’s by the same author who wrote The Boy in the Striped Pajamas. It’s a heartfelt saga about the course of one man’s life, beginning and ending in post-war Ireland. My sister loved this book, so I hope to enjoy it as well!

Fun Recipes I’ve spotted on the internet this week:

  • How good do these Chocolate Cake Donuts look? They’re covered in a rich chocolate glaze with chocolate sprinkles.
  • YUM >> Peach and Ricotta Toast is made on crusty crostini, with a creamy ricotta, fresh summer peaches and tomatoes, and balsamic glaze!
  • Bruschetta Chicken Pasta is an easy weeknight dinner full of fresh tomatoes, basil, pasta, balsamic vinegar, and topped with seasoned chicken!!
  • Frozen S’mores are a refreshing frozen treat made with a combination of chocolate pudding, whipped topping, cream cheese, and marshmallow fluff layered between graham crackers!

Here’s what’s going on in my life:

  • We had a lot going on this last week. On the 4th of July, we hiked up a mountain to watch fireworks from the top!
  • My husband and I had dinner with an old high school friend that I had not seen in 38 years (and his wife)!
  • I planted flowers in pots that line the stairs up to our front door.
  • We hosted a birthday party for 40 people for one of my best friends: Sandy Coughlin from ReluctantEntertainer.com. It was a busy week!

Catch up on food-related news of the week:

  • New cookbook release: Knife Drop: Creative Recipes Anyone Can Cook by Nick DiGiovanni. From Amazon- Building on a foundation of staple recipes such as basic pasta dough and homemade butter, Nick shares a mouthwatering selection of his favorite recipes. Feast on New England favorites like Browned Butter Lobster Rolls and Garlic Butter Steak Tips, enjoy decadent pasta dishes like Smoky Mezcal Rigatoni and Sungold Spaghetti, and recreate fan favorites like his Viral Pasta Chips and Dino Nuggets. And of course, Nick had to include some “collab” recipes from his famous friends like Andrew Zimmern, Robert Irvine, Joanne Chang, Lynja, and more.
  • McDonalds has a new pie flavor: Cookies and Creme!
  • Here are the 10 most expensive foods in the world.
  • You can now taste Carbone’s famous spicy vodka sauce without a reservation!

Products I’m loving:

  • If you live in a hot and dry area, you might consider getting a humidifier. It’s a game changer for softer skin. I was so tired of dry skin and cracked heels. This humidifier has been great!
  • Look for Tillamook Frozen Custard in your market’s ice cream section. They have amazing flavors like Sea Salt and Honeycomb Toffee and Oregon Strawberry Shortcake!
  • I bought this cute iron bench for our front yard in Oregon. We had a wooden one, and it kept blowing over in storms. This one is heavy and wonderful, and it was easy to assemble.
  • This headboard is so cute for our new king bed. I bought it in navy blue!
  • Here are some pretty pillows for your outdoor sofa.
  • Look for Fried Pickle and Ranch Dip at Costco. It’s delicious!
  • Here’s an ice cream shaped spiral hummingbird feeder…. so cute!
  • These rolling grill baskets are so nice for keeping chopped veggies safe from falling into the grill!
  • I love this soda can (or beer!) organizer for your fridge or pantry.

Bake some cornbread this week!

  • Brown Butter Cornbread is a very tender cornbread with great flavor. Fresh thyme and crumbled farmer’s cheese are wonderful additions.
  • I love Buttermilk Cornbread for its dense texture and slightly sweet flavor. It’s not a light and fluffy cornbread. It’s heavy and wonderful.
  • This Blueberry Cornbread isn’t your typical “eat it with chili” kind of cornbread. It’s more of a delightful breakfast sort of bread.

Next Week’s Recipes:

  • On RecipeGirl: Greek Inspired Burgers, Cold Sesame Noodles and Cherry Dessert Sauce
  • On RecipeBoy: Grilled Beef Kabobs with Corn-Tomato Salad
  • On RecipesForHolidays: Easy Piña Colada for National Piña Colada Day

Have a wonderful week!
