Finding bright fruits on rambling strawberries is a delightful feast for the senses any day of the week 🥰🍓

Cross pollinating varieties can lead to bigger, tastier fruits as Australian based researchers recently found with Redlands Joy and Rubygem varieties (see the link below) when they were crossed.

We have both these and more varieties available as Bare Root Crowns to preorder now for April delivery 😁

REDLANDS JOY: Very Sweet, High yields, Warm climates. Autumn/Winter crops.

RUBYGEM : Flavour superb! Med-large fruits, crops in winter, early spring, summer

LOWANNA : Day neutral- can fruit throughout the year in frost free areas, large, glossy, firm, flavourful fruits

SUGAR BABY : Very sweet big fruits large to XL size , mid season variety, firm, good rain resistance.

How many plants/ bare root crowns per person?

Depends how many strawberries you can eat or need for food projects!

A good minimum is 6 plants/crowns per person - which could yield in good strawberry growing conditions approx 500g + of fruits per plant.

Happy Gardening ☀️🍓
